The Year of Jubilee

From the archives of Oral RobertsSecond of two parts

Jesus Christ has come in His birth, in His life, to return the light — to bring that intuitiveness of God back into our existence, to give us a major response to Him again.

And then He said, “I’ve come to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Every Hebrew knew what He meant. That was the YEAR OF JUBILEE, the fiftieth year. In Israel when the land had been sold, after fifty years it reverted to its original owner. If a person had been taken into slavery, he was automatically freed on that year. This was called the Year of Jubilee in the Bible because all debts were canceled. Jesus is saying to you:

I am the Year of Jubilee.

I am that force and that power.

I have come to restore you to a full human being.

I have come to reawaken that spiritual force within you, which I made in My own image.

I am saying to you, RISE UP! Assert yourself!

Take command of your life through My grace…My forgiveness…My everlasting power.

I’ve come to cancel your debts.

I’ve come to set you free.

I’ve come to make you a new creature.

The angels put it into perspective on that star-studded night over the hills of Bethlehem when they said: Unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:11).

They are saying that this Savior is born unto you — born unto you this day — TODAY. A SAVIOR WHO HAS COME TO SAVE YOU, TO HEAL YOU — FROM THE CROWN OF YOUR HEAD TO THE SOLES OF YOUR FEET — TO SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEEDS. A Savior who has come to release your total being. A Savior who has come to give meaning to your existence and joy to your life. The choice is yours.

This is God’s message of Christmas to you TODAY… in the now!
