The Cure Giver

From the archives of Evelyn Roberts

A few months ago, Oral and I received a letter from one of our seed-faith partners. His name is Juan and this is what he wrote us:

Last August. I became so stricken with arthritis that I couldn’t get out of bed. My neck, back, knees, shoulders and elbows were bad. I went to the doctor who confirmed that I had rheumatoid arthritis. He told me there was no cure for it, and that I would have to learn to live with it.

(Oh, how I wish the doctors would get to the point where they’d say, “We don’t know of a cure today, but we encourage you to believe in God, maybe He will heal you.”) Juan went on to write…

The next morning, I turned on the television set to your program. You were reading a letter from a man named Joe. He, like me, had been examined by a doctor who told him he had rheumatoid arthritis and that there was no cure for it. He, too, had been told he would have to live with it. But then you said, “Joe, I’m going to pray for you, and anybody else who has rheumatoid arthritis. Reach out your hand toward your TV, and as I pray, you pray.”

Well, you prayed and I joined with all of the faith I had. The pain left my body at that moment. And to this day, I haven’t had any more arthritis pain. God worked a miracle!

Juan truly did receive a miracle. Man may not have known the cure for sickness in his body, but by his faith, Juan was able to touch the Cure Giver. Always remember, with God anything is possible. There’s no disease He can’t cure, no trouble He can’t resolve, and no injury He can’t mend.
