Supernatural Peace

Lindsay Roberts

Before Jesus went to heaven, He comforted His disciples with these words: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27 NKJV). Jesus went to the Cross so we could be have peace. Philippians 4:7 NKJV says, The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

God’s peace can sustain you. He can give you a supernatural peace in the midst of any storm or struggle you might face. That peace is Jesus Christ. No matter what comes or what goes, what’s up or what’s down, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And He said He would never leave you (see Hebrews 13:5).

Paul stated in Romans 8:34 that Christ went to heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father and makes intercession for us. He said, “I will not leave you comfortless. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever (John 14:16 AMP).

Jesus’ death on the Cross didn’t end His relationship with us. He fulfilled everything His Father said so that we could be healed from the crowns of our heads to the soles of our feet―physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Some people see the Cross as Christ’s death and burial. We need to always remember that because of the Cross, there was the Resurrection, and we have Jesus’ promise: Because I live, you will live also (John 14:19 AMP).

Death could not hold Jesus. He lives forever. He is always with us to bring peace and wholeness to our lives.
