God once gave me a powerful insight on the power of praying in agreement according to God’s Word. Matthew 18:18 says that whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. It has to agree in heaven. The Amplified Bible says, Whatever you forbid . . . on earth must be what is already forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit . . . on earth must be already permitted in heaven.
What you pray for has to agree in heaven. What’s bound and cannot get into heaven? Sin, sickness, disease, fear, poverty, demons—anything that’s unlike God. So if it is not permitted in heaven, then we can pray for it to be stopped or not permitted on earth.
What’s loosed or what does God permit in heaven? Included are power, praise, worship, love, the Spirit of God, health, sound minds, and God’s riches in glory by Christ Jesus. God’s system is set up according to what is allowed in heaven, and what is stopped in heaven should not happen on earth.
Verse 19 NKJV says, “If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” So it doesn’t take you and the whole world to agree in prayer for a need. It takes only two.
Your request has got to agree with what is permitted or not allowed in heaven, and it has to be in agreement with how God works. If you pray God’s way, it’s going to work.
