Jesus Intends for You to Succeed

Has the Lord called you to do something for Him? It may be a phone call He wants you to make, a place He wants you to go, a person He wants you to visit, a gift He wants you to make, a job He wants you to do. Whatever it is that the Lord is asking of you, I’ve got three words of encouragement for you as you prepare to launch out in faith.

First of all, He intends for you to succeed. The Lord never calls us to do something that He knows we’re going to fail at.

One day, Jesus got into a ship with His disciples and He said to them, “Let us go over unto the other side of the lake” (Luke 8:22). The Bible says that they launched forth, and as they sailed, Jesus fell asleep. The Lord was so confident that they were going to reach the other side safely, He went to sleep and never gave their crossing another thought. He expected to arrive.

When Jesus calls you to do something, He is expecting that you will do it and that you will succeed at it. He has faith in you to get the job done, and therefore, you have faith in Him to help you.

People often say to me, “I have trouble putting my faith in the Lord.” I think it’s a lot more difficult to believe that Jesus would have faith in us! And yet, He does. He calls us to do His word and to speak His name and to use His name to bring healing and deliverance to people in need.

No matter what the Lord is asking of you today, know that He intends for you to be successful at it.
