One day, Richard was running through the house, pulling open drawers and slamming them shut, looking for something. “Lindsay! I’m late, and I can’t find my hairbrush!” he exclaimed.
“Where have you looked?” I asked.
He said, “I’ve looked all over the house…upstairs, downstairs, all over!”
“Everywhere?” I asked with a hidden grin.
“Everywhere!” he answered.
“Have you looked in your left hand?” I asked. Yes, the hairbrush had been in his hand the entire time he had been frantically searching for it!
The Lord spoke to me after that episode and reminded me that we often race around searching for answers to our problems, or we ask Him for things that He has already given us. And we need to recognize what is already in our procession, by faith.
In other words, we hold in our hands anything and everything that God gave us when He established His will through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. If you need healing… if you need a financial miracle… if you need a family miracle… Jesus made it available to you when He went to the Cross. Before going to the Cross, Jesus told His disciples, “Up to this time you have not asked a [single] thing in My name…but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy (gladness, delight) may be full and complete (John 16:24 AMP).
So stir up your faith today and ask God for whatever miracle you have need of. It’s already yours by faith!
