I Expect Miracles Every Day!
Lindsay Roberts – First of two parts
There are people who say, “I don’t expect anything back from God.” But when they get great big miracles… their bodies are whole… their finances are met… their children are healthy… if they didn’t expect that back from God, then who did it?
I expect miracles from God every day of my life because I know I’m not the One who keeps my body whole. I know I’m not the One who multiplies my seed. My God is the One who multiples my seed. When I get a miracle, I give God the credit, and I give Him thanks for it. I expect back from Him.
My children expect me to take care of them because I’m their parent and that is my responsibility. God is my parent, and He said, “Give, and it shall be given unto you” (Luke 6:38). Our responsibility is “to give”; His responsibility is “and it shall be given.”
Many times as Christians, we do our part, but we don’t expect God to do His part. God says He watches over His Word to perform it. When we give and expect back from God, He promises to multiply our seed.
If you think God isn’t able, He isn’t. You are not going to get anything from Him if you think like that because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks; life and death are in the power of the tongue; you shall have whatsoever you say; and as a man thinketh so is he. (See Matthew 12:34, Proverbs 18:21, Mark 11:23, and Proverbs 23:7).
If God placed a million dollars worth of groceries in the grocery store next door to you and left the key at your doorstep, and you were starving to death and didn’t expect Him to leave the key and didn’t know anything about the groceries, you’d starve to death. But if you knew about the groceries and knew where the key was, you could open the door and feed the whole neighborhood.
Learn where the key is, for Jesus said He gave us the keys to His Kingdom. You hear stories about a rich relative dying and leaving something in their will. The richest Man on earth died and shed His blood for us and left us in His will!
