People have often asked me, “Why do you believe in miracles?”
Well, I believe in miracles for three reasons.
First, the Bible says that Jesus “went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil” and that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (See Acts 10:38 and Hebrews 13:8.)
Second, I believe in miracles because I’ve experienced them in my own life.
And third, every day, through letters, email and calls into our Abundant Life Prayer Group, we get testimonies of miracles such as these:
From Tennessee — “Richard, I called for prayer for high blood pressure and I planted a Seed-Faith gift to God through your ministry. My blood pressure has been high since I was 38; I’m now 65. And guess what? My blood pressure is back to normal. I went to the doctor. It’s confirmed. Praise God! My blood pressure problem is healed.”
From Oklahoma — “This past Thursday night I fell and fractured my left hip. The orthopedic surgeon and the emergency room doctor confirmed it with x-rays. I called the Abundant Life Prayer Group for prayer. Friday morning they took me in for a CAT scan and could find nothing wrong. I am completely healed. Thank you for your prayers!”
From Colorado — “Three weeks ago I was fired from my job. I was devastated by it. I called in for prayer and for peace to believe God for another job. Today I have a new job with more money! I thank God for the Abundant Life Prayer Group and you for praying for me. Being fired was only a stepping-stone to something better.”
From California — “I called to tell you I’ve been healed. You gave a word of knowledge, Richard, about someone who was having dizzy spells and problems with their balance. That word was for me. I had been having problems for four or five days and, as a matter of fact, I was on my way to see the doctor when you gave that word on television. I am totally healed. Praise God, the dizziness is completely gone.”
