Doing the Impossible

From the archives of Oral Roberts

Have you ever been in a rut, but you didn’t know what to do to get out of it? I’ve been there. The first twelve years of my ministry I tried to be like other preachers. Jesus taught and preached, but they did not pray for people to be healed. So I taught and preached, but I did not pray for people to be healed. I became a clone. After twelve years. I didn’t know who I was. I wanted to quit.

Then the Lord showed me what I couldn’t see. He showed me the invisible. He showed me I could be like Jesus and minister as He did. I could know who I was, and I could be an original.

God did the same thing for Moses before he took on the seemingly impossible task of leading the children of Israel out of Egypt. Hebrews 11:27 says that Moses, by faith, forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

When Moses saw the invisible with his spirit, his entire focus changed. That stuttering, faltering, and unbelieving man became an extraordinary-talking, firm, believing man who literally did the impossible from Egypt all the way to the Promised Land.

Would you like to get out of the rut you’re in? Would you like to know what you are called to do for God? It may seem impossible, but if you will look to God, He can open you up inside so that you can see the invisible and do the impossible!

Remember, Moses saw the invisible first; then, he was able to do the impossible!
