Absolutely Essential

Richard Roberts

While grace is a word found throughout the New Testament, it can be hard to define. Grace is the unmerited favor of God. It’s the imparting of God’s forgiveness and presence to us. It is the indwelling of our spirits by His Spirit.

The Bible teaches that we are saved by grace through faith. Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV states very plainly: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

Our salvation doesn’t come through anything we do. Some people might say, “Well, if I just attend church often enough,” or “If I just give enough money to good causes,” or “If I’m just a good person.” Although those are commendable things to strive for, they won’t get you salvation.

You are saved through faith—through choosing to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He died on the Cross for your sins. That He rose the third day and ascended into Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father until He comes again and reigns forever as the King of kings and Lord of lords!

Your faith is absolutely essential to your being born again. It’s absolutely essential for a life of miracles on this earth. It’s absolutely essential for you to receive the gift of everlasting life (John 3:16). The grace of God begins to operate in our lives when we begin to use our faith.

Activate your faith today. Believe God for the miracle you need!
