TITLE: Prayer Partner
REPORTS TO: Director and/or Supervisor ALPG
DEPARTMENT: 47220 ALPG
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time or Part-time
FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY: Receive telephone calls on behalf of the Roberts family regarding prayer requests, Seed-Faith gifts, product requests, praise reports, conference registrations, praying for partners, answering questions regarding ministry and documenting questions to relay to support services. Conduct all job functions confidentially.
- Receive calls to the Abundant Life Prayer Group (ALPG) on behalf of the Roberts family.
- Politely, pleasantly and professionally answer the phone and communicate with a kind and understanding demeanor.
- Follow all steps of the ALPG call pattern in accordance with guidelines set forth by ORM.
- Correctly spell and enter all caller data into the computer.
- Conduct all functions time efficiently (handling an average of 10 calls per hour).
- Be able to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information as set forth by guidelines of ORM.
- Manually complete supplemental forms legibly and accurately.
- Keep current on all ALPG/ORM announcements as they are posted on a daily basis.
- Keep a tally of the number of calls received and totals the number of calls for each hour.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND SPECIALIZED TRAINING: High school diploma or GED. Prayer ministry or Biblical college training preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three to six months experience dealing with people’s problems of living as gained in ministry, counseling, public relations or other service.
JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Must have strong biblical knowledge. Spiritually and emotionally mature with the ability to pray God’s word according to the caller’s need, while exhibiting a calm, patient and compassionate demeanor in all situations presented. Present Seed-Faith opportunities over the phone. Basic computer and keyboarding skills required. No less than 20 wpm minimum with high accuracy. Must be detail oriented and have good spelling, grammar, reading and organizational skills, along with good telephone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of ORM materials and beliefs. Confidentiality of information is a must.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Will include but not be limited to: sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, repetitive motion, using equipment requiring manual dexterity (10-key and/or computer). Must possess good near-sight, far-sight, and non-color-blind visual ability as well as the ability to bring objects into sharp focus. Must be able to hear clearly and distinctly. Must be able to read and write.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to perform the required job functions indoors, in a temperature-controlled environment either independently or within groups of people, in an organized and efficient manner, as required, under general supervision, whether fast-faced or steady in workflow.
MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess logical mental clarity and ability to reason for the purpose of various detailed tasks. Must be capable of working harmoniously within a diverse group of individuals, whether co-workers or partners. Must be able to understand, read and carry out verbal or written instruction. Must possess calm capabilities to multi-task and maintain deadlines in a sometimes fast-paced environment. Must be able to perform job functions cooperatively, whether directed independently or as a team. Due to the nature of some calls received, the ability to leave your work at the office is a must.
HOURS OF WORK AND ATTENDANCE: FT and PT positions. Shift hours and days off may vary. Weekends and holidays as scheduled are required.
