Salad In A Jar

Ingredients:

Whatever you like in a vegetable salad or have on hand. Some suggestions:

  • Grape tomatoes
  • Cauliflower
  • Carrots
  • Sugar snap peas
  • Green and/or red peppers
  • Onion
  • Broccoli
  • Cheese

Directions:

Layer the ingredients in a large canning jar and put the lid on tight. It will keep very nicely overnight in the fridge. These ingredients can be added to spinach leaves or lettuce of your choice and topped with your favorite dressing. If you have some leftover chicken, you could toss it in with a little olive oil and seasoning in a hot wok, and you have stir fry.

This is a quick and easy thing to do for a picnic or a BBQ. It also makes a really fun and colorful gift for a housewarming or to take to someone who is sick.
