In my last letter, I reminded you of the power that is yours because of your connection to the creator of the universe. The power of God at work in you, as a blood-bought child of the most-high God, is the same power that raised Jesus from the grave. In other words, if you are willing and choose to do so, you can face today, tomorrow and every day of your future with the unlimited power which Jesus Himself experienced as He walked out of the tomb in newness of life… It is YOURS, Partner.
Let’s look at Resurrection Power… First, Resurrection Power gives authority. Just as light has authority over darkness, the blood-bought child of God has authority over darkness. And for the believer, Resurrection Power gives you the power to achieve by applying the Lord’s inherent abilities. From Strong’s Greek Dictionary we read, “Power through God’s ability” (dunamis) is needed in every scene of life to really grow in sanctification and prepare for heaven (glorification). The Greek word “dunamis” is a very important term. It is used 120 times in the New Testament.
Together, you and God working in and through you are an unbeatable force…
Please read this powerful truth very carefully: You and God together, working in partnership, can accomplish amazing things in life. Believe me, even though He asks you to do something first — to act on your faith — He’s not doing it out of ill will or judgment or a desire to control you. The things He asks you to do are for your benefit! He wants to lead you in His paths, so that you can enjoy His safety, His protection and His provision, which have NO limits.
Are YOU ready? Are you ready to move with the Power of the Universe into the wonderful plan God has for you? Jeremiah 29:11 tells us God has a plan for you, and it’s a good plan! It’s not His plan for you to be in a ditch or walk down a dangerous path. That’s what the devil comes to do because he comes around only to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus came to give us life — abundant life, eternal and everlasting (John 10:10). Abundance in every area, a full life, a good plan, unstoppable increase… That is God’s best for you.
In chapter SIX of my new book, Unstoppable Increase, I felt impressed in my spirit to talk about why we as Believers give. As I was walking out what I felt should be included, it became very clear to me. We Give When We Know Who God Is… When we know someone, a relationship begins to develop and the more we know someone, a trust begins to develop and when there is trust in a relationship, the easier it is for the two of you to become participants in a common goal. Think about it…
When we think of the God kind of increase, one man comes to mind right away — a man who enjoyed as much abundance as anyone who has ever lived. His name was Abraham.
Now, Abraham was born in a place called Ur of the Chaldees, or what you and I know today as Iraq. He and his wife, Sarah, were living among pagans at the time, and they didn’t know anything about God until one day, as the Bible tells us, they heard the voice of the Lord.
The Lord said, “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:1–3).
Now, ask yourself, if God spoke to you and said, “Get in your car and start driving. I’ll tell you where you’re going when you get there,” how would you respond? That’s basically what happened to Abraham. What’s interesting is that he and his wife obeyed. That’s the first step to following God straight into His unstoppable increase — obeying Him. When Abraham got to the place that we know today as Israel, God said, “This is it. This is where you need to settle down.” Abraham made his home there, and God began to prosper him. And as time went by, Abraham was greatly prospered.
When Abraham understood who God was — that God was most high, the possessor of heaven and earth, and the one who delivers him from all of his enemies (Genesis 14:18–20) — he sowed a tithe and an offering. And God established the sowing and reaping principle through Abraham.
It is easy to sow seeds in faith when you really understand who God is. Think about who He is for a moment… He loves you. He created you only a little bit lower than the angels (Hebrews 2:7). He’s your heavenly Father (Matthew 6:9). He made you in His own image (Genesis 1:27). Greater is He (God) who is in you than he (the devil) that is in the world (1 John 4:4). You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).
When you understand who God is, you’ll want to sow into His kingdom. Abraham got a glimpse of what God is like, and that revelation caused him to give. It also caused him to teach Isaac, his son, to give. And Isaac, the Bible says, learned the lesson so well that he had the courage and faith to sow to the Lord, even during a time of famine.
Even When It Seems Impossible, Increase Can Happen for You
Today, while you and I face different circumstances, the fact remains, the world’s economic system has its ups and downs even as it is being reported as stable. We are constantly being faced with economic downturns, layoffs on the job, struggling bank accounts and situations where it looks like you’re in danger of losing all you have. That’s what Isaac was facing.
There was a great famine in Isaac’s day, according to Genesis 26. At first, Isaac moved to Gerar, where Abimelech the king of the Philistines lived. But things must have looked so bad that Isaac began to think about moving to Egypt. Perhaps he thought there would be food there, or good farmland, or some other answer to his troubles. But God spoke to him and said, “Don’t go down to Egypt. Stay here and sow in this land.”
Think about it… In the middle of a famine, in the middle of a recession, in the middle of a terrible financial situation, a terrible drought, God said to Isaac, “Stay here, and sow right in the middle of this.”
Remember, Isaac knew God… Isaac had a relationship with the Almighty and knew His voice. Are you seeing the thread woven through these examples from God’s Word? Partner, is there a stirring in your spirit? Are you being reminded anew of the importance for you to have an UNQUESTIONING TRUST in God’s plan for your own life?
NOW FOR THE VICTORY CELEBRATION… The Bible tells us that Isaac obeyed the word of the Lord. Instead of running away and looking for the world to provide for his needs, he stayed in the land God had given him. He sowed to God in faith, expecting a miracle from God. He trusted God as his source. And God’s Word reports the Victory this way: “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man (Isaac) waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great” (Genesis 26:12–13). He became a very rich man, and his wealth continued to grow. You see, the principle of sowing to God in faith and reaping a harvest from God is biblical, and it works!
RIGHT NOW I’m asking you to take a serious look at your personal GTP (God Trust Position). Is it as high as you would like for it to be? Is it as accurate as you would really like for it to be? Is it possible today’s overload of life’s activities has allowed your personal God Trust Position to become misaligned? Remember, allowing your GTP to be off even slightly will cause you to be dramatically off course when you get to where you think you are headed…
Think about it… When you stop and get quiet before God, does His pattern for your life still come together in overcoming victory, or do you find you are spending far too much time fixing things which should have never gone wrong in the first place?
NOW is the time to stop and reset your GTP (God Trust Position)… Now is the time to allow your spirit to hear the words of Praise, Worship and Trust come from your mouth… Now is the time for you to allow the Holy Spirit to raise you above the traffic of life and allow you to see yourself being victorious as you choose to sow in the midst of challenges… Now is the time to see yourself reaping a 30, 60 and 100 fold victory harvest in response to your sowing because of your relationship with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob…
Please hear my heart… I believe God is a rewarder of those who choose to know Him and ACT on their faith in His ability to fulfill His every promise. In fact, I feel so strongly about what I am telling you right now, I’m willing to be a part of your harvest by sending you a copy of my book, Unstoppable Increase, in response to your ACT of Faith.
Because of the importance of what God is doing in and through our ministry together, I’m asking you to sow a very special Reflection of Relationship Seed Offering unto the Lord — a seed gift that demonstrates your personal commitment to developing an ever closer relationship with God. I’m asking you to stand with me through your prayers and financial support of this ministry as we continue translating the thousands of pages of ministry materials for our pastor friends in India, even as we prepare to deliver Greater Works Tablets to Inuit Pastors near the Arctic Circle.
In fact, the Lord spoke to me about this. He told me there is a new season coming for God’s people who choose to move from the spectator section to the field of participants… A new season of abundance is coming… Desires of the heart are going to be met… Physical needs are going to be met as they come face to face with resurrection power… Peace of mind will be restored to those who are committed to moving into God’s pattern for their lives… And I want you to enjoy every single blessing that is included in God’s blessing for you. I look forward to celebrating the victories God has for you.
The Bottom Line… When we want to see God move in our lives, we have to do something first. Then — and only then — will He do His part. He promises us salvation, healing, provision, restoration, wisdom and increase… but only if we believe, receive, confess, obey and give to Him in faith believing for our harvests. Only He can do what He can do. But only you and I can do what we can do.
As you complete and return the enclosed Prayer and Praise Sheet, I challenge you to respond exactly as God is leading you to act on your faith. This is the time to sow a reflection of your relationship with God and His Victory Plan for your life.
Now, even as you are thinking about the size of the seed gift stirring in your spirit — the seed that is significant to you — begin to praise God for His response to your act of faith… Allow your spirit to see yourself walking in God’s abundance with every financial need met. Allow your spirit to see yourself as God sees you… See yourself walking in God’s divine health… See yourself ministering to others — especially your family and close ones… See yourself in the abundant harvest field God has for you… See yourself in fellowship with the God of More Than Enough… the God who is moved by your faith.
