July 2012 Partner Letter
Dear Partner,
Do you need a miracle in your life right now? Do you know someone who does?
If you’re looking at your life or the life of someone you care about, and
you’re asking, “Where are all the miracles that would take care of this situation?”… Then I have good news for you. You are EXACTLY in the right place for the Lord to move in your situation in the supernatural, unlimited, abundant way that only He can!
Yes, I mean exactly what I’m saying right now… It doesn’t matter what you’re facing… God’s power to turn your circumstances around, even if it takes a miracle, is unlimited! Nothing is too hard for Him (Jeremiah 32:17).
You may say, But Richard, the situation I’m in seems to be totally without hope. It appears as though God isn’t doing anything for me. And if I’m not seeing a miracle yet, then surely I’m in the wrong place, not the right one…
But I’m here to tell you that no matter how things may appear to your natural eyes, there is a spiritual truth that is greater than anything you may be facing… GOD LOVES YOU! He cares about what happens to you. He has a plan for
your future (Jeremiah 29:11)… And I’m going to tell you how you can connect to that plan.
First, let me assure you that if He has a plan for you to do something for Him… and believe me, He does… then He also has a plan to help you in your time of need…
Now, I know that sometimes when you’re going through a challenging situation, it may not always seem like God has a way out for you. But God knows you can’t serve Him to the fullest extent of your ability if you’re sick, in lack, struggling against a long-term problem, facing family unrest or having trouble on the job… Those things can sap your energy and your ability to be all you can be for the Lord, if you let them.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. You can reach out in faith to God for the miracle you need right now to turn your situation around for the better.
Yes, I’m BOLDLY DECLARING what I believe… Our God is a miracle-working God. Miracles are not a thing of the past just for people in ancient Bible days… Miracles are not just for a special few people—a short list of people that doesn’t include you…
No, miracles belong to everyone who believes in Jesus as Lord and Savior, and we can reach out in faith for God’s power whenever we are in need of it.
I call our television program The Place for Miracles for a very good reason… You see, I believe that everywhere I go, that is the place for miracles. And everywhere YOU go is the place for miracles too. Yes, you!
My friend, the place for miracles can be anywhere and everywhere that believing, expecting Christians are using their faith to reach out for God’s power to come into their circumstances. Miracles can happen WHEREVER YOU ARE… in the midst of ANY SITUATION YOU MAY BE FACING!
What is a miracle? It is the dynamic, supernatural intervention of God in your life…an act of God which reveals His power to meet your need in a way that the natural world never could meet that need. It’s an event that is impossible for you and me as humans to bring about…but is not too hard for God. It’s something that only He can do to bring about good in your circumstances.
For you and me, because we’re human, miracles can seem amazing and unusual… But in God’s way of doing and being, they are everyday business… It’s a part of how He operates. We are limited by our humanness, but He is unlimited—and His unlimited Holy Spirit is within us! He can do all things…and He can do them perfectly!
Miracles are meant to follow you and me as believers because we serve a God who does mighty works, great signs, and awesome wonders. You and I should expect to see His miraculous power in our lives…in small ways and in big ways…on a regular basis because that’s a part of living in relationship with Him.
You may say, But Richard, I don’t need anything special right now. I don’t need a miracle.
Well, first I’d say that God gives us a supply for our needs in many different ways, both natural and supernatural. When natural methods work, then God can and does use them to bless us… That’s why blessings can come to us through friends, family members, our jobs, and other everyday sources.
But sometimes, the natural realm just doesn’t have the solution that we need, and in those times, we have an assurance that the rest of the world doesn’t have…
As children of God, you and I are not limited only to what is available to us in the natural realm of this world… Through Jesus, whom we serve as our Lord and Savior, we can connect to the unlimited supply of our more-than-enough God… the God who does miracles and can do what appears impossible…
Partner, that means when you face a challenge that seems too big for you, you can turn to the Greater One, Jesus, in your time of need!
Do you recall what the Lord did for Gideon in Judges 6? It’s a great example of how God brings His miracle-working power into our lives when we begin to look for and expect it…
Now, in Gideon’s day, the nation of Israel was being oppressed by an enemy known as the Midianites. And this enemy was trying to starve Israel and keep them in bondage, so they would periodically come and punish anyone who was growing crops or making weapons.
One day, Gideon was threshing wheat in secret, trying to get food for his family without the Midianites finding out about it. As his hands were busy working, an angel of the Lord appeared and called him a mighty warrior. Gideon started wondering, “Why has this trouble happened to us? Why are God’s people in bondage to the wicked Midianites? Why are we hungry, sick, downcast, and discouraged?”
And then he asked another question: “Where are all the miracles?”
You see, Gideon believed that when God is with you, then miracles are a part of the package. So, he wondered why there weren’t any miracles happening when the Lord was supposed to be with Israel. And he asked God about it.
The Lord responded through the angel He sent. And the angel gave Gideon this message: “Gideon, the Lord is with you, and you’re a mighty man of valor.”
I imagine that Gideon must have wondered why the angel was calling him a mighty man of valor. After all, he had never done anything mighty in his life. He wasn’t a warrior. He hadn’t fought in battles or led an army. In fact, he described himself as the least of all his brothers. He certainly didn’t see himself as capable of great things.
But God did! He looked at Gideon’s heart and saw something great in him… He saw this man’s faith. And He gave Gideon a plan for a mighty victory against overwhelming odds.
That tells me God isn’t afraid of our questions. And let’s be honest… We all have questions, don’t we? We wonder sometimes why things don’t work out the way we planned. When we face challenges, we can be tempted to focus on why these things are happening to us, and ask God, “Why, why, why?”
However, the question of “why” doesn’t always helps us. No, the ultimate answer to our need is found in God, who is the One who can turn our situation around, if we obey Him and place our trust in Him.
Gideon asked why he wasn’t seeing miracles, and God answered, “GO in this your might (your understanding), and you shall save Israel.”
I believe the Lord was telling Gideon to go face his circumstances with the strength of the faith he had in the Word of the Lord. You see, Gideon knew one thing: He knew that if God was present, miracles ought to be happening! And he knew that if he had faith, God ought to be responding to that faith!
And by saying, “GO in your might (your understanding),” I believe the Lord was telling Gideon, “My son, I see your faith, and I’ll be with you with all My miracle-working power, when you do what I have called you to do, in faith expecting Me to take care of you!”
In man’s eyes, Gideon would probably have been judged unfit for the role God called him to do. And maybe you feel that way about yourself sometimes… But from God’s point of view, Gideon was the perfect instrument to carry out this task because he obeyed God’s directions and believed it is God’s nature to deliver His people, even by miracles when that’s what the situation calls for.
The Book of Judges goes on to tell of how Gideon came against the huge Midianite army with only 300 men, and how God gave Israel a great victory over their enemy. Gideon and his men barely even had to fight… God turned the situation totally around because Gideon did three simple things…
He realized that his situation called for a miracle… He heard what the Lord had to say about the situation… And then he went and obeyed the Lord’s Word in faith, expecting to see a miracle…
And a miracle is exactly what he received… a miracle that freed all Israel of bondage and caused Gideon to be promoted to a leadership position. That would have been impossible if Gideon had tried to do it all on his own, in his own way… But he went forth in the strength of God, following God’s instructions, and the miraculous happened!
I have good news for you… Miracles have not stopped happening. The Bible says, “I am the Lord. I change not” (Malachi 3:6). Gideon obeyed the Word of the Lord and WE have God’s Word with us today. The same God who helped Gideon wants to help you TODAY… And I’m ready to stand in faith with you, expecting the miracles you are believing God to do for you.
When you send in your Prayer Response, tell me what miracles you need… Tell me what miracles your loved ones need… I’ll hold your prayer requests in my hands and pray in agreement with you for God’s answers to come to you in every area of your life.
And remember, miracles can happen in your finances too… The supernatural power of God can come into your financial situation and do what appears impossible to your natural mind. He can help you find ways to pay your bills, have increase in your savings, manage your money wisely, make good investments, and find restoration for what has been lost through economic difficulties and other challenges you may be facing.
One Bible way that God has instituted for us to connect to His unlimited, abundant power is sowing and reaping… Seed-faith is a miracle of God, and when you use it, it brings His supernatural resources into your situation!
That’s what Luke 6:38 means… When you give, that’s when it shall be given back to you in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over… Sowing your seed to God in faith and expecting Luke 6:38 to work in your life brings His power of multiplication into your situation to meet your needs, give you increase, and pour out more than you can contain (Malachi 3:10).
But you have to do your part… Just as Gideon had to act on his faith in God’s Word, you need to act on your faith and connect yourself to God’s power to bring you a harvest. Remember, Gideon heard God’s Word to him… received it in faith… and acted on it by going and doing what God told him to do…
You can do the same thing RIGHT NOW by asking the Lord what amount He would have you sow into this ministry as my partner… Listen carefully to what He is telling you right now… It might be an amount that you weren’t expecting to hear… But don’t be afraid to trust Him… It might be a bigger seed than you normally sow, but if the Lord is in it, then His miracle power to multiply a harvest is in it too…
I challenge you right now to obey the Lord, just as Gideon did… Whatever He tells you to do, do it… And do it in faith, expecting the miracle of sowing and reaping to go to work on your behalf as you are obedient to sow your seed.
I’m expecting good things to happen for you because of your partnership with this ministry… I believe God has put you and me together for a purpose, and part of His plan is to send harvests to you for the seeds you sow toward helping this healing ministry share God’s Word and His healing power around the world. You are helping us change lives and bring people into God’s kingdom! I want to thank you in advance for hearing the voice of the Lord as He speaks to you and sowing a special seed-faith offering into our ministry at this time.
Right now by faith, I call you blessed and pray that the fullness of all God has for you is poured out into your life daily because you are faithful to pray and give as a partner to all we’re doing. I look forward to praying for your specific prayer requests as soon as you send them to me…and I’m asking the Lord to multiply your seed exceedingly abundantly above all that you could ask or think.
