August 2012 Partner Letter

Dear Partner,

When you’re facing a situation that looks impossible, where do you turn for answers? Where does your help come from? That’s the question that David—who was a man after God’s own heart—asked. He wrote, From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth (Psalm 112:1–2).

The Source for the answers you need is JESUS! Colossians 2:3 says that in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. He has answers for whatever you may face, and I believe He wants to give you His best solution for the situation you’re in… He wants you healed and whole in every fiber of your being—spirit, soul, and body!

Sometimes it doesn’t feel that way. Sometimes, our situation looks so bad that we think God doesn’t see what is going on. You may feel like He has forgotten you, but let me assure you that He hasn’t. He has a miracle just for you…

TODAY, I have a word to help you be strong in the Lord until your answer comes… So, take hold of what is in this letter by faith, and reach out to the Lord in boldness and obedience to receive His life-changing touch!

Many times, as we reach out to God for miracles, what we need most is a WORD from Him! His WORD is life to those who find it, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:22)… It will not return void, but it shall accomplish what it has been sent to do (Isaiah 55:11)… His WORD is proven and trustworthy (Psalm 18:30)… It’s a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105).

To say it another way… Miracles happen when we hear the WORD of the Lord, receive it and obey it in faith, and expect to see it come to pass!

We see this happen throughout the Bible from Genesis to Revelation… When people stood up in faith and believed God ACCORDING TO HIS WORD, they received healing, salvation, deliverance, restoration, wisdom, favor, and other miracles and blessings. There is life for YOU in His Word!

The truth about who God is, who you are as His child, and what He has for you is found in the Bible. As you learn about Him and put your faith in His Word, His power for miracles can begin to flow into every area of your life…even those areas where it seems impossible right now for things to turn around for good.

Remember, nothing is impossible with the Lord! He can bring about a complete breakthrough for you, even in the most difficult circumstances. But you must take hold of the Word He sends you, and ACT on it in FAITH if you want to unleash the power of God in your life.

Do you remember what happened to Naaman? He was a Syrian general who had leprosy, and he didn’t think there was any cure for him until he heard from one of his servants that the prophet Elisha, a man of God, had a healing ministry.

Immediately, Naaman went to Elisha, because he knew he needed a miracle… He expected that the prophet would minister to him personally. But Elisha sent him a message instead, saying that Naaman should dip seven times in the Jordan River to receive his healing (2 Kings 5:10).

Now, that message wasn’t Elisha’s plan… It was a WORD from the Lord! You see, God knew EXACTLY where Naaman’s miracle was located. It wasn’t in Elisha’s house, or his front yard, or the road leading from Syria to Israel. It wasn’t even in the Jordan River where He told Naaman to go.

Catch this… Naaman’s miracle was located in his willingness to humble himself, BELIEVE GOD, and OBEY the word of the Lord!

By telling Naaman to dip in the river, God was trying to get him to DO something to RELEASE HIS FAITH. At first, Naaman didn’t see it that way. He got insulted, stormed off, and almost missed his healing because it didn’t come to him the way he thought it would. He almost rejected his miracle. Thankfully, his men talked him into doing what Elisha said. And…When Naaman obeyed the word of the Lord, he was totally healed!

You see, God wants us to have a willing, obedient heart toward Him. By obeying, Naaman was sowing his seed of faith for his healing—and he received his healing because God is a REWARDER of our faith in Him (Hebrews 11:6).

Perhaps like Naaman, you already have your mind made up about how exactly you want God to deliver you. I want you to ask yourself, “What have I got to lose by opening myself up to God’s way of sending me a miracle?” Naaman’s miracle began when he said, “I’ll do it God’s way.” And yours can begin as you make the same confession of humility and faith in the Lord!

I CHALLENGE you today to do things God’s way… Receive this word from the Lord that I have for you and ACT on it… Let me explain…

There was a time in the ministry of Jesus when He and Peter needed a miracle right away… Some men from Jerusalem approached Peter and asked, “Does Jesus pay His taxes?” In those days, just like it is today, people have to pay their taxes. Peter went to Jesus and said, “What do we do?”

Sometimes, you may face times like that too… A need arises, and maybe you weren’t expecting it, but there it is… The need is staring you in the face, and you need God’s help to get the situation taken care of…

Jesus had an ANSWER for the need… He told Peter to go to the sea and cast in a hook, and the first fish he caught would have money in its mouth (Matthew 17:27). It was a supernatural WORD from the Lord, and Peter heard it…

That word went against everything Peter knew to be true in the natural realm… He was a fisherman by trade, and he knew that you don’t just throw a hook in the water. You have to use bait. And even then, there’s no guarantee that you’ll catch anything. But Jesus’ faith was so strong that He knew God would provide for His financial obligations, whether Peter used bait or not.

Partner, I believe Jesus’ strong faith is an indication that GOD KNOWS EXACTLY WHERE OUR MIRACLES ARE… He took Peter to the right water at the right time to catch the right fish… And I believe He can do the same for you if you obey His Word in faith.

No doubt Peter was reminded of the time he had the miracle catch of fish… Jesus had borrowed Peter’s boat to preach… It was a seed Peter sowed to God. When Jesus was done, He told Peter to launch out into the deep and lower down his nets. Peter knew that you didn’t catch fish at that time of day, and on top of it, he’d had no luck fishing there just hours earlier.

Nevertheless, Peter obeyed the WORD of Jesus and got a catch of fish so large that the net broke. His partners had to come in another boat to help get all the fish (Luke 5:5–7). I believe Jesus saw Peter’s need for a catch and asked him to SOW to God in order that Peter could connect to the power of sowing and reaping.

Jesus knows where YOUR miracle is! He knows exactly how to lead you to what you need! But to receive what He has for you, you need to hear the word of the Lord, receive it, and ACT on it in faith. When Peter obeyed, He RECEIVED what God had for him—a miracle catch of fish, and a fish with money in its mouth.

I believe that if you’ll obey the Lord today, you’ll open yourself up to receiving the miracle you need. Part of your obedience is to SOW the seed He would have you sow. That’s the WORD I have for you today… It’s time to sow for the answers you need…

Now, your seed doesn’t buy a miracle. It’s a point of contact for you to release your faith… It’s how you tap into God’s law of sowing and reaping so that you can start your harvest coming to you!

If you need God to move in your life, then you need to reach out in faith to Him NOW… Don’t wait another moment! Ask Him what He would have you sow into this healing ministry this month, so that He can put your harvest into motion!

Remember, when Jesus asks you to GIVE to Him, it’s never just for Himself. He doesn’t want to keep your seed. He wants to multiply it and give it back to you—FULL and OVERFLOWING (Luke 6:38).

I challenge you right now to sow a large gift—a gift that may not make sense in the natural… But it makes sense to the Lord who is leading you to sow it, so trust Him. He knows what He is doing. Remember, seed-faith is a MIRACLE. If you want a harvest, you must get your seed in the ground, so it can grow.

As I said to you earlier, Jesus knows where your miracle is located. So… REFUSE to give up on the miracle you need from God. I want to be your partner in faith. I’ll stand with you in faith for your breakthrough to begin, and I won’t come out of my prayer agreement with you until you receive your miracle.

Let me know about your needs when you sow your breakthrough seed this month… Just as I agree with you in faith right now for your seed to be multiplied back to you, I also want to pray for you to receive God’s best answers to your specific needs.

Prayer WORKS… Seed-faith WORKS… And I am confident that God has more of His goodness to send into your life as you reach out in faith to Him, believing and expecting and refusing to give up until you see His miracles in your life and in the lives of those you love.
