The Bible makes three assumptions about your faith.
Number one, the Bible tells you that you have faith. Romans 12:3 says: “God hath dealt to every man [every person] the measure of faith.”
Number two, God expects each one of us to grow in faith. The Bible describes this growing process: “But unto every one of us is given grace … that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ” (Ephesians 4:7, 14–15). We should never consider that we have developed all of our faith. We should always be growing in faith!
Number three, Jesus expects us to use our faith. When the disciples were with Jesus on the Sea of Galilee and a storm began to rage, they immediately ran to Jesus and awoke Him and cried, “Lord, save us: we perish.” Jesus arose and rebuked the wind and said to His disciples, “Why are ye fearful, o ye of little faith?” (Matthew 8:25–26) In another of the Gospels, Jesus is quoted as saying, “Where is your faith?” Jesus expected His disciples to use their faith to get their needs met.
The Word says you have faith. Is it growing and developing into strong faith? Are you using it? Today, begin stretching forth your faith to God in all you do.
