If you picked up the wrong package at a department store, you probably wouldn’t hesitate to go back and exchange it. And just imagine how quickly you would exchange something that was really a raw deal! I mean, if you paid for a diamond ring and the store gave you a box with dust in it, that would be a raw deal! And you’d be quick to make the correct exchange.
Satan has tried to make us accept a raw deal. If you are carrying around poverty, sickness, and discouragement, they are not yours! You’re holding on to the wrong package! Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 NKJV).
Jesus came from heaven, where there is no sorrow, no sadness, no pain, and He went to the Cross on our behalf. He literally defeated death, hell, and the grave for us. All that He paid for with His shed blood — healing, health, prosperity, peace of mind, and wholeness — is ours. We only have to make the exchange.
Jesus Christ came to take what was in our old lives and replace it with everything He had in heaven. He brought it with Him and freely made the trade at Calvary. When Jesus cried out, It is finished (John 19:30), it was! There was nothing left for Him to do.
God has done His part. Now it’s up to us to reach out in faith and receive all He has already paid for…life beyond measure, super-abundant in quantity, and superior in quality!
