The second thing you must do in order to be healed is get right with God. James 5:15˗16 says, And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Do you think God wants to heal your physical body, and yet let the works of the devil destroy your soul? Why would God heal your back and send you to hell? That isn’t the way He planned it. He wants your physical man whole, but He wants your spirit man whole too. He wants you to be such a clean vessel before Him that you can absorb everything He has for you. He has a purpose for you!
Second Chronicles 16:9 tells us, The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.
Then 1 Peter 5:8 says, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Isn’t satan the great counterfeiter? So whatever the Bible says God is going to do, you can guarantee the devil will have a counterfeit for it. He is a liar — the father of lies (John 8:44)!
God wants to show Himself strong on your behalf. 2 Chronicles 16:9 says so…He wants to fix and attach Himself to those whose heart is perfect towards Him. God has become our strength. He has fixed and attached Himself to us! So when a strong enemy comes, in Jesus’ Name, the God who is attached to you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
You don’t have to count on your strength; you can count on His. He is a strong tower who will never leave you nor forsake you. The only way you can get away from that strong tower is if you choose to detach yourself from His strength. And that is your choice!
