“Faith” or “Fear?”

From the archives of Oral Roberts

Faith and fear are like the two sides of a coin called “Believing.”

Faith is RIGHT believing―it’s believing in God…first, that He IS, and second, that He is a good God who is the loving Father and Source of your total supply in life. Faith is believing the right things about God and about your relationship with Him. Faith is believing that you can know God and you can experience His forgiveness and miracle-working power. Faith is believing that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

Fear is rooted in WRONG believing. It comes from believing that God doesn’t care about you, or that God is out to do you harm, or even that there is no God. When your believing is headed in the wrong direction, it’s easy to become confused or “lost” in your travels through this life, and in that confusion, to feel panic and a deep rooted fear.

God has given you the ability to CHOOSE today just how you will believe. Will you believe right and experience faith? Will you believe wrong and experience fear? It’s a matter of your will… of your choice.

Choose today to believe in a good God, and watch the difference it makes in your life!
